These are songs that I've written specifically to be used in congregational worship.

2008 -- Upbeat, easy to sing worship song. I don't recall what inspired this song, but the lyric continues to inspire me. "I want to shock this world with mercy, loving like I'm free." -- (Lyrics and guitar chords)
2009 -- An anthem of praise, Here I Am exalts God as Creator and Jesus as Savior, and cries out in response, "I'm giving you my life; Here I am." (Lyrics and guitar chords)
2010 -- This song was inspired by Colossians 1:26-27, "the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the saints. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory." I particularly like the thought that when we sing praises here on Earth, we are practicing for heaven when we'll join both saints and angels singing to the King of Gory. (Lyrics and guitar chords)
2007 -- When I started this song, I half thought that I would be contemporizing the classic hymn, "Holy, Holy, Holy." It quickly became clear that this would be something very new, but with the same timeless theme. (Lyrics and guitar chords)
2005 -- I want to seek God, listen for His voice, and hear him speak. I much prefer, though, that I would come to know the heart of Christ to such depth that I know what He'll say even before He speaks. (Lyrics and guitar chords)
2006 -- This song was well accepted by my church as a song that is fun and easy to sing. Because of the runs between phrases and between the two sections of the song, it's a bit harder to play than your average worship chorus, but not unmanageably so. (Lyrics and guitar chords)
2008 -- This song is a prayer acknowledging the majesty of God the Father, affirming our commitment to follow Jesus as our risen King, and asking the Spirit to rain down with power. I think that this has great potential as a worship chorus, although I've not had the privilege of trying it out anywhere. If you do, let me know how it goes! (Lyrics and guitar chords)
2005 -- One of my first attempts to write a song for congregational worship, this song was received reasonably well by my church (I think). (Lyrics and guitar chords)
Click the play button by any title to hear the track. These are all recorded in my home "studio", which comprises a cluttered corner of what was meant to be the dining room. I record vocals when the boys are asleep or away and do most of the instrumentation using the soft synth that came with Sonar Producer. These are rough productions that over time I would love to produce professionally.

Of course, if you pay for one of these scratch songs, and I eventually create a finished recording of it, you don't have to pay for the finished recording. Buying a scratch song will also encourage me to move that one up in the priority list.
