Hello, I'm Eric Meyer. Welcome to my web site! The primary purpose in creating this site is to provide a vehicle for sharing my music with anyone who would like to listen. Nearly all of the songs I have written speak in some way of the goodness of God in my life. If this music offers encouragement to those who share my faith in Jesus and hope to those who do not, I will count it a success. Someday, I would like to make part of my living writing music (i.e., make a little money at it), so if you have an interest in using one of my songs in your own project, please let me know. If you just want to listen, playing it from this web site is free. If you want to download any of the mp3 files, please send me a dollar for each copy of each track you want (e.g., a copy on your mp3 player and one on your computer would be one copy; a copy on your device and Emailing it to your friend would be two copies).

I'm not a professional musician (for more on that, see My Secret Life). I've got some experience singing and playing guitar and piano, but I have very little experience (and no training) in recording, mixing, and mastering. With three full-time occupations (husband, father, and engineer) taking priority over music, time to learn the craft and polish recordings just isn't there. So please don't expect commercial quality. In fact, many are done in just one take using a handheld recorder. A few are orchestrated and mixed to the best of my ability at the time it was done (you'll note the later the year, the better the sound). But, hopeful, if you listen with a gracious ear, you'll find something meaningful to you in one of more of these songs. Thanks for visiting! My Faith

I want my faith to be seen as something other than just "being religious". The word religious has several meanings, one of which is basically to do something over and over again. Religion for religion's sake is little more than doing church things over and over again. I hope that when I'm described as "religious" by others, it is because they don't have a word to describe the fruits of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, and self control) in a true believer's life. I want the Spirit to use me to love in a way that is difficult (or impossible) to understand apart from having felt God's love personally. I hope that my music conveys that. I hope that it encourages believers to pursue their Savior more fervently and prompts others to question the meaninglessness and hopelessness that they sometimes feel.

My Music

Having been a Christian since about 7th grade, most of my musical influences have been Christian musicians. I've also had many diverse non-Christian musical influences such as Kiss, Elton John, and John Denver, but my musical tastes were more strongly influenced by Christian artists like Kieth Green, Amy Grant, and Steven Curtis Chapman (among many others).

I write music just as a means of expression. Some of the songs I have sung in my church, but many have never been heard (before now) outside of my house. I hope you enjoy them. If so, go to the Contact Eric page and let me know what you like. I love encouragement!
